Bug Off Balm: All-Natural Insect Protection for Sensitive Spots

This balm has become a go-to in my grooming kit—especially during peak fly season. It’s all-natural, super gentle, and works surprisingly well to keep the bugs off faces, ears, and anywhere else flies love to hover. I use it around eyes, noses, and any irritated patches that need a little extra protection. It’s great for soothing minor skin issues while doubling as a long-lasting, waterproof bug barrier.

What I love most is that it doesn’t run or melt in the heat, and it clings well even on sweaty horses. It’s safe enough to use regularly and strong enough to make a difference during turnout or trail rides.

Directions: Apply a thin layer to clean skin around the face, ears, or any area needing protection. I use it on minor cuts, rubs, and scabs too—just a small amount goes a long way. Reapply as needed, especially after heavy activity or exposure to water.

Storage Tip: Store it sealed tight and out of direct sun or high heat to keep it fresh.

Heads Up: For external use on animals only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Not meant for deep wounds. If skin irritation worsens, check with your vet. Some essential oils may cause yellowing on white or light-colored hair.
