Are you ready to take your horse's health, performance, and well-being to the next level?
Look no further! As a dedicated farrier, I specialize in barefoot, biomechanically correct trimming, ensuring that your horse’s hooves are not only healthy but also support optimal performance and soundness. I'm here to bring out the best in your horse.
I believe in a patient, holistic approach that takes into account the whole horse — hoof, movement, nutrition, and environment.
With over 5 years of trimming experience and a 2-year apprenticeship under a vet-farrier, I’ve worked extensively with complex cases such as laminitis, founder, club foot, and high-low syndrome.
How do I know if my horse needs biomechanical hoof care?
Some signs that your horse might benefit from bodywork include:
Stiffness or limited mobility
Changes in behavior or attitude
Muscle tension or soreness
Recurrent lameness or discomfort
Difficulty in bending or performing movements
Recovery from an injury or surgery
A desire to optimize your horse's performance
What You Can Expect From An Appointment with Me?
Initial Appointment: During the first session, I will spend 45 to 90 minutes per horse, depending on the severity of the case.
This in-depth consultation includes a biomechanical evaluation, hoof analysis, performance discussion, and a nutritional consultation.
I will also watch your horse move to assess the hooves' impact on their biomechanics.
Routine Trims: Routine trims typically take 20 to 40 minutes per horse.
These trims will occur every 3 to 6 weeks, based on your horse's individual hoof growth and needs. Staying on a regular schedule is key to achieving success.
Each trim starts with a full evaluation of your horse’s movement and hoof conformation, to ensure that their hooves support natural movement and performance.
We'll discuss your horse’s performance, any challenges they may be facing, and how their hooves are impacting their health and well-being.
I track hoof growth and health from appointment to appointment to ensure continuous improvement.
Hoof health starts from the inside out. I provide recommendations for diet and supplements to support optimal hoof growth and overall health.
Due to my specialized focus and limited availability, I work primarily with clients who are committed to their horse’s hoof care.
I value horse owners who understand the importance of "no hoof, no horse," and who are willing to make necessary changes to improve their horse’s well-being and performance.
Cost per Trim: $75 per horse
Multiple Horse Discounts: $65 per horse for 3+ horses
Training Fee: If a horse is not trained to stand quietly for the farrier, a $25 training fee will be applied.
I ask that horses are clean and well-behaved for their appointment, and that clients arrive on time to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
